Flawless execution of the dive. Approach, hurdle, height, distance, execution and entry all exceptional.
EXCELLENT DIVE (8.5 - 7.5)
Approach, hurdle, height and distance are unaffected. Execution well-defined, entry slightly affected.
GOOD DIVE (7 - 6)
Approach and hurdle unaffected. Height and distance acceptable (3-4'). Execution defined, entry controlled but slightly affected.
SATISFACTORY DIVE (5.5 - 4.5)
Approach and hurdle acceptable. Height and distance adequate (5-8'). Execution complete but slightly over or under.
DEFICIENT DIVE (4 - 2.5)
Approach and hurdle affected. Height and distance inadequate (over 10'). Execution affected and entry over or under (partially alter the position of the dive).
UNSATISFACTORY DIVE (2 - 0.5)
Approach and hurdle affected. Height and distance inadequate (over 10'). Execution not complete or broken position, entry barely made (a diver enters the water with one or both hands above the shoulders on a dive requiring a feet first entry or one or both hands below the shoulders on a dive requiring a head first entry; a diver hits the diving board; dive executed in a position other than described on the score sheet).

UNSATISFACTORY DIVE (2 - 0.5)
Approach and hurdle affected. Height and distance inadequate (over 10'). Execution not complete or broken position, entry barely made (a diver enters the water with one or both hands above the shoulders on a dive requiring a feet first entry or one or both hands below the shoulders on a dive requiring a head first entry; a diver hits the diving board; dive executed in a position other than described on the score sheet).

Dual, Double Dual or Triple Dual Meets Points are awarded for placing as follows: a. maximum of two entries per team RELAYS: 6-3-1-0 INDIVIDUALS: 4-3-1-0 b. maximum of three entries per team (most high school dual meets) RELAYS: 8-4-2-0 INDIVIDUALS: 6-4-3-2-1-0 c. maximum of four entries per team RELAYS: 10-5-3-0 INDIVIDUALS: 8-6-5-4-3-2-1-0 d. only two relay teams may score for each team in each relay event e. triangular meets: maximum of two entries per team per event RELAYS: 14-10-8-6-4-2 INDIVIDUALS: 7-5-4-3-2-1 Note: By prior mutual consent, any of the above scoring systems may be used in any dual, double-dual or triple-dual meet. |
